Budget Friendly Stone Castle Hotel in Branson
I recently returned from a too short trip to Branson, Missouri where we stayed at the Stone Castle Hotel. I have to admit that I was overly excited to stay at any place that had “castle” in the name. But I was even more excited when I realized that this was a value hotel! We’re a Navy family, so I’m always looking for budget options. The Stone Castle Hotel is perfect for families, couples and girls trips. Imagine how long you can stay to explore Branson when the room costs as low $79 per night for 2 queen beds!
Rooms Fit for a Queen (or King)
There are a total of 296 rooms that include standard single queen or king rooms, standard 2 queen rooms, king, queen and family suites plus 2 kitchenette suites. There literally is a room configuration to fit every traveler! Check out this video from Niccole Sadowski Mucci at The Creative SAHM.
Two Queen Rooms
I roomed with Niccole in a 2 queen room and it was perfect for us and ONLY $79 a night! The beds were cozy and we slept great… when we stopped laughing long enough to fall asleep.
The tub and shower combo is wonderful for families with young children that need that tub for bath time. And we benefited from the sink and mirror being separate from the shower so both of us could get ready without bugging each other.
Themed Rooms and Suites
There are 36 uniquely themed king suites throughout the hotel. And when I say unique – I mean UNIQUE. From Medieval Knights to Jungle to Dolly Parton’s Stampede. You name it and the Stone Castle Hotel probably has a room themed around it.
Each with a jetted tub, these rooms would be perfect for couples looking for romantic and fun getaways… Unless you get the Clay Cooper themed room. Not sure how romantic the view from the jet tub would be.
Family and Kitchenette Suites
Branson is a town built on family, so don’t leave the kids behind! These suites are just what families need while on vacation. The family suites feature 2 bedrooms with a king bed and 2 queens. Select suites also have a sleeper sofa, making them perfect for larger families!
Dining out can bust a families vacation budget real quick which is why the Stone Castle Hotel has a couple suites with kitchenettes. Cooking on vacation isn’t always exciting, but it can save you a ton – which leaves room in the budget for more shows!
Stone Castle Hotel Amenities
FREE Hot Breakfast Buffet
As a mother to tweens and teens, I am always looking for hotels that provide breakfast when we travel. Because boy, can they eat! Free hot breakfast goes along way to making travel more affordable. And the Stone Castle Hotel is all about bringing value to your Branson visit.
Each morning there is eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, potatoes and even freshly baked muffins. We had the cinnamon peach and blueberry and they were scrumptious.
FREE Wi-Fi
I have older kids and let me tell you besides free breakfast – free wi-fi is a biggie for our family. If my kids can’t watch YouTube or Netflix they’d parish right there on the floor. Just ask them. Stone Castle Hotel is family friendly, so they offer that hot commodity of free wifi.
FREE Parking
Free on-site parking is becoming harder and harder to find while staying at a hotel. Even Disney World is no longer offering free parking to it’s guests!
Parking fees can add up quickly when you’re talking upwards of $25+ a night. A 5 night stay and you’re paying an extra $125 right off the bat. Talk about budget buster.
Arcade Games, Indoor Pools and Spas
Video games and claw machines are the things the fill children’s dreams. At least in my household. So any hotel with a game room is a win in my book. Sponsored by The Tracks Family Fun Parks the small game room will be a favorite with kids of all ages.
I don’t know about your family, but hotel stays equals pool time to them. And the Stone Castle Hotel has 2 indoor pools (one is currently under renovations) along with bubbling hot spas. Being indoor means no matter what time of year you visit the pools will be waiting for you!
Close to Branson Attractions
I’m always looking for a hotel that is centrally located to the attractions we want to visit. With Stone Castle Hotel I can put a check in that block. The hotel is about 15 minutes from Silver Dollar City theme park and just minues way from the theater shows such as The Hughes Music Show and The Branson’s Famous Baldknobbers.
The Stone Castle Hotel Staff Family
I’m not sure I’ll do this section the justice I feel it deserves, but here it goes! I can’t call those that work at the Stone Castle Hotel staff, because they are a family. And they welcome each and every guest to be a part of their incredible family. Even at 5:30 am
Full disclosure – yes, we were invited to promote the hotel, but during my stay I quietly watched as they interacted with other guests. They were kind, inviting and quick to jump if anyone needed anything.
Our group hung out with the social media director, Angie Harris, general manager, Jay Wilson and one of the owners, Sam Howard during our trip and I can’t even describe the love they have for the hotel and staff family. Both family men, they know the struggles parents have when it comes to making family vacations happen. But they also recognize how important they are so together they have built the Stone Castle Hotel to be clean, affordable and fun!
Y’all who wouldn’t want to hang out with these two?!? They’ve got moves!
I could go on and on about the Stone Castle Hotel because there is so much to tell you. They have a wide range of conference rooms and halls plus a gorgeous gazebo. There are amazing Christmas events including a nightly reading of Christmas stories with local Branson royalty. Oh, just go! You won’t be disappointed.
I’ll admit it, Branson, MO wasn’t a place I thought was on my bucket list. I was clueless about what it had to offer, but I now know what I’ve been missing and I am already planning my return trip. This time the family is coming along!

I keep reading about this free breakfast buffet and even though I am thoroughly stuffed at the moment, I really want biscuits and gravy. LOL. Great recap of the place.
