For the third year in a row Disney will be celebrating the next Star Wars film release with the one night only event – Star Wars: Galactic Nights on May 27, 2018. Last December, I got the incredible chance to experience this special ticketed event first hand and as a HUGE Star Wars fan I was thrilled! Each year the event has its own twists and turns to make it unique. Here’s just a glance at what to expect this year.
Unique Meet & Greet Photo Ops
With special ticketed events comes a wide array of unique meet and greet opportunities. Galactic Nights isn’t any different. At previous events Guests got the chance to take pictures with the Seventh Sister, K-2SO and even Porgs from The Last Jedi.
Probably my favorite part of last year was the Seize the Saga Scavenger Hunt. On the back of your event credentials are spots to fill in with special stickers. Once you collect all the stickers it revealed a fun picture.
Participating in the scavenger hunt was simple and since the stickers were given out at the photo locations Guests were able to do both.
Exclusive Projection Show
Again, Guests will get to travel through hyper space to destinations famous to the Star Wars Saga when Hollywood Tower Hotel is transformed with an out of this world projection show. This year will feature a NEW PLANET!
Disney is known for having visually stunning desserts and unique food options. Last year, the food was out of this world. And some of those fun options including the crab duo and éclair trio (bite-size amazingness!) will be back.
Not to be out done, the Disney chefs got back to the cutting board and came up with more delectable treats. Inspired by the Battle of Crait, Red Duck Curry Fries is just a sample of what will be available for Guests this year.
Event Exclusive Merchandise
Once again there will be merchandise exclusives, so keep your eyes as I’m sure we’ll get a sneak peek. There were plenty of chances to purchase merchandise last year. I had no problem getting the few items on my wish list and I don’t believe any item sold out.
This one night only event will not disappoint. And is 100% worth the extra cost for any Star Wars fan!
