With over 100 shows, Branson, Missouri is known as the “Live Entertainment Capital of the World”. A night at The Clay Cooper Country Express is filled with belly laughs, incredible singing and dancing and family fun.
Spend an Evening at The Clay Cooper Country Express
Disclosure: I was the guest of Myrah at Couponmamacita on the #BloggingBranson trip. All opinions are my own.
The Clay Cooper Country Express was the first show we got to see with the #BloggingBranson group. I’ve said it before, I wasn’t sure what Branson was all about before this trip, but I was blown away from the start. Clay Cooper is funny and connects with the guests on a personal level.
Crowds Roaring with Laughter
Comedian Matt Gumm is an absolute gem! His opening skit has the audience laughing so hard tears are rolling down their faces. Add in Clay with his love of visitors from Kiester, MN (ya know where the Preparation H commercial was filmed) and you will discover stomach muscles you didn’t know you had.
I’m telling y’all – these two need their own comedy show!
Singing and Dancing – Hey is that *NSync?
This show may be titled the “country express”, but there’s more than just country! Of course, there is country music in the show, but the younger audience will be thrilled to know that there are a sprinkle of pop hits.
Don’t think this musical team is limited by any stretch – they do some rockin impersonations that will have you singing along.
And don’t forget the dancing. There are 10 dancers (along with the rest of the entertainers who show off some moves) that are incredibly talented. Watching them make you want to get up an dance and while, I can dance just as well. Ok, I can’t dance. at. all. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t wanna get up and shake my booty at times – I just didn’t want to embarrass myself.
Good Clean Family Fun
The common theme of Branson shows is family and The Clay Cooper Country Express is no different. The show caters to families with it’s wide range of musical numbers and wholesome comedy.
We got treated to a candid after show discussion with the Cooper family and they are down to earth, brilliantly funny and everything you see on stage. They love performing and bringing smiles to the faces of those in the audience.
PS – If you ever get a chance make sure to ask Clay about his crime stopping superhero alter ego!

This looks like a fun show for the entire family. Sometimes, when visiting destinations, it is hard to find a show everyone will enjoy!
