Gatorland in Orlando, Florida finally has a Halloween event. And it’s perfect for the entire family! Gators, Ghosts and Goblins kicks off October 19, 2019 and the spooky fun continues on October 20th, 26th, 27th and 31st. This is an event you don’t want to miss!
I was invited to attend a media preview of Gators, Ghosts and Goblins. All opinions and thoughts are 100% my own.
What is Gatorland’s Gators, Ghosts and Goblins?
It is the Gatorland Halloween spooktacular! Guests will be able to experience specialty themed areas throughout the 100-acre park.
- Graveyard of the Darned
Visit the Gatorland cemetery and take a look at the graves closely. You may see some of Gatorland’s most infamous cast. - Cryptozoo
Skunk Ape, Jersey Devil and more can be found at the Cryptozoo! Can you find them all? If you do, take a picture of each and show them to the researcher at the base camp – You’ll receive a Cryptozoologist certificate! - Frank & Stein’s Ooky Kooky Octoberfest
Get your groove on with Frankenstein and his Polkageist band while snacking on some German-themed food. Get the pretzel! By far the BEST soft pretzel I’ve had at a theme park.
- Monster Movie Madness Show
Featuring everyone’s favorite – Bubba and Cooter and maybe even YOU!
Y’all – Bubba and Cooter have to be two of the funniest characters around. They toured the themed areas with us and had everyone belly-laughing, including my oldest. - Scary Crows
Check out the scarecrows that can’t even scare the crows away! Plus, you may get to meet one of Gatorland’s cutest residents – Pinto Bean. - Swamp Ghosts Monster Museum
Finally, catch a glimpse of Gatorland’s Swamp Ghost and learn a little about some of the classic monsters.

Should we take the family to the Halloween areas?
Yassss! Everything is kid-friendly and perfect for all ages. When we attended the preview there were many that brought their young kids and they LOVED it.
I will say there were a few areas we didn’t get to see, but I’m fairly confident that they are fine for kids as that was Gatorland’s goal for their event.
Can kids dress up in costumes?
Yes, they can, but no adult costumes. Gatorland does ask that the costumes be family-friendly and not scary as Bubba and Cooter are scaredy-cats.
Gators can’t have Snickers bars. So, keep in mind that this isn’t a trick or treat event, so there won’t be any candy being handed out.
Can we still see the gators, ride the train, zipline and more during Gatorland’s Halloween event?
Of course! The park will be operating as normal during the event. You just get a little extra on event days for no extra charge.
I do highly recommend splurging for the Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure. It’s $10 per person, but it’s sooo worth it! We had an absolute blast and I can’t wait to take the rest of the family on it.
We’ve lived in Florida for just over 2 years now and this was our first time visiting Gatorland! I don’t know what took us so long but I do know that we will be going back real soon. Especially to see more of what Gators, Ghosts and Goblins has to offer.
