Disney once again honors US Military service members and their families with its 2024 Armed Forces Salute offer. With strict rules, navigating the ins and outs of this special Disney military discount can be difficult. But I’ve got all the answers!
All Your Questions Answered About the Disney Armed Forces Salute
We’ve been blessed to have the opportunity to take advantage of the various Disney military discounts since 2009. Since then, the discount has transformed and changed with each passing year. It can be overwhelming to stay up on every rule, but I have made it my business to stay up to date. So, here’s everything you need to know about the 2024 Disney Armed Forces Salute.
What is the Disney’s Armed Forces Salute?
The simple answer is it’s a military discount for US Disney Parks.
However, the long answer is that the Armed Forces Salute offer includes deeply discounted Disney tickets and rooms and other various discounts available to US military service members and their families.

- Active Duty Service Members
- Reservist
- National Guard
- Coast Guard
- Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS)
- Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
- Retirees of the military services mentioned above
- 100% Service Connected Disabled

The park hopper tickets allow ticket holders to hop from park to park and adding the “plus option” gives each ticket holder a set amount of entries to the minor attractions including the water parks and mini-golf.
Park Reservations
All guests ages 3 and up MUST have a park reservation along with a valid admission ticket before entry. Theme park reservations can be made via the Disney Parks Pass System. Currently, you can make theme park reservations through January 18th, 2025. You can also check park reservation availability using the park reservation availability calendar.
If you are not staying at a Disney World Resort Hotel, check the availability for “theme park guests” for accurate availability.
What are the Disney World room military discounts?
- Up to 30% for Value Resorts
- Up to 35% for Moderate Resorts including Fort Wilderness Cabins
- Up to 40% for Deluxe Resorts
There are some room types that are excluded including 3-bedroom villas, suites in Moderate and Deluxe Resort hotels, campsites, Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.
The Armed Forces Salute room discount also excludes The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Riviera Resort.
Room discounts are limited and can be booked through December 20, 2024.
How can I book the military discounted rooms?
You can book the Armed Forces Salute rooms by calling Disney directly or through a travel agent. This discount can NOT be booked online!
Where can the discounted tickets be purchased?
Tickets can be purchased in person at most base ticket offices, Shades of Green Resort or at Disney World ticket gates. When purchasing from your local base I suggest contacting them to see if they have them in stock or if they have to order them, so you can plan in
You can purchase Disney World tickets over the phone from Shades of Green Resort by calling (407) 824-1403 8 am – 7 pm ET. There is a small shipping fee to mail the tickets to your home.
Do I need to activate the military discount tickets?
Yes, the Armed Forces Salute tickets need to be activated at Disney World Guest Relations or a ticket booth at the parks before they can be used for entry.
Geeky Tip: Tickets purchased directly from Shades of Green Resort are already activated and ready to use.
Who can activate the Salute tickets?
The service member or spouse must activate the military tickets at the Disney World ticket gates with a valid military ID. When activating tickets all guests must be present with the service member or spouse.
Can I upgrade the Armed Forces Salute tickets?
Yes and no. There are a couple of ways the discounted military Disney tickets CAN be upgraded and one way they can NOT be upgraded.
Disney military tickets with just the park hopper option can be upgraded to include the “plus option” (water parks, mini-golf) at a guest relations window where you’d just pay the difference between the two types of tickets.
The Disney Armed Forces Salute tickets are also eligible to be upgraded to a Disney annual pass. You will be required to pay the difference between what you paid for the discounted military ticket and the current gate price of the annual pass.
When upgrading tickets purchased through Shades of Green, it is beneficial to also upgrade them there, since you do not pay tax.
So, how can they NOT be upgraded? Armed Forces Salute tickets are available in 4-day, 5-day or 6-day tickets and if you purchase the 4-day ticket you can upgrade to the 5-day or 6-day, but you can NOT add any more days beyond those 6 days.
How many military discounted tickets can I buy?
When using the Armed Forces Salute ticket deal, service members are only able to purchase up to 6 tickets. And one of those tickets MUST BE for the service member. Spouses are able to purchase tickets in place of the service member, but not in addition to.
Do I have to use the tickets on consecutive days?
No! This is one of my favorite bonuses to the Armed Forces Salute tickets. The tickets can be used any day(s) during the offer period they were purchased in.
Example: you can use 2 days of a 5-day salute ticket in March and use the last 3 days in November.
Can I link my Salute tickets to My Disney Experience?
Yes, you can! If you purchase your tickets through your local military base, you will receive a voucher and that number can be linked to your My Disney Experience (MDE). No changes will need to be made when you turn in the voucher to activate and receive your tickets.
When getting your tickets through Shades of Green or directly from Disney, you can add your ticket number to MDE like you would any other ticket.
Can I link my Salute tickets to a Magic Band?
Once you link your tickets in My Disney Experience they will automatically be linked to any active Magic Band. Disney discontinued free Magic Bands as of 2021, but they are still available for purchase.
Can I use Genie+ with the Armed Forces Salute tickets?
Yes, once they are linked in your My Disney Experience.
If you are staying on Disney property, at Shades of Green or other select Disney Springs area hotels, you can purchase Genie+ starting at 12:01am on the day you wish to use it through your My Disney Experience app.
Staying off property, you will be able to purchase Genie+ starting at 7am.
Is the Disney Armed Force Salute the best deal?
Without a doubt, the Armed Forces Salute ticket offer is hands down the best ticket discount available with savings over $200 on regular ticket prices.
The hotel discount is usually the better deal when combined with the ticket savings. But off-property rooms or rental homes can be cheaper depending on how many guests and travel dates.

Can you use both the armed forces salute rocket discount and room discount? Or can you only use one? I plan to also add in the dining plan (knowing there’s no discount on that) but just wondered if you can use both discounts or had to pick just one. Thanks!!
Renee says
Hi Darci,
You can use both the ticket and room discount together! Makes for an incredible deal.
Have a magical trip!

Sara says
My husband just retired last year and we have a 20 year old daughter that is planning a friends trip (no parents) she has an active military ID can we buy her a military ticket at shades of green and have it mailed to our home will she be able to use it without us being there with her? We wanted to pay for it for her early Christmas gift.
Renee says
Hi Sara,
The tickets from Shades of Green are shipped to you already activated, so she should be able to use it without one of you being there. I’ve bought tickets for my niece and in-laws multiple times and neither has had a problem using the tickets without me or my husband being there. But we are local, so if they did run into a problem we were close by to run up there.
Unfortunately, some have reported that they were asked for verification each time they entered the parks. So to be safe, I would double-check with Shades of Green when purchasing the tickets, make sure her dependant ID is valid and that she has it with her and that one of you are available by phone if she needs you.
Hope this helps!
Cindy says
With the Military Promotional Salute Park Hopper tickets, there should be no tax, if purchased at the Shades of Green ticket office. You state $241 (plus tax) for 4-Day Park Hopper Tickets, but you’re saying “plus tax, when purchased AT Walt Disney World, correct? Just so people know! Thanks so much for all the great info!
Renee says
Yes, if purchasing at Shades of Green or at a base ticket office – there isn’t any tax on tickets.
Tiffiny Anderson says
We are traveling to WDW for a quick 4 days/5 nights before a cruise and tbh are throwing this all together quickly, i live in NC. We leave in a month on June 29th and because If I cannot purchase our Armed Forces tickets before hand over on Camp Lejeune and have to purchase them at SOG on arrival then will I have to wait to to use the FP option? We are staying 2 nights at the Pop Century and 3 nights at the French Quarter. Sorry to sound stupid but thank you for this website and blog. I’ve been fighting breast cancer and finished treatment a few months ago and am so excited about our cruise and now unexpected WDW trip.
Renee says
Hi Tiffany!
Unfortunately, you will not be able to schedule your fastpasses until the tickets are linked in your My Disney Experience app. But, you can order tickets from Shades of Green over the phone and they will ship them to you for a small fee. As soon as you receive them you can link the tickets and schedule fastpasses!
Hope that helps.
Amanda says
Any idea about how long activating the tickets takes? I may have not planned enough time for my mom and I between landing, getting to the park and getting dinner…
Renee says
Hi Amanda!
It depends on how busy Guest Relations is, but I’d plan at least 30 minutes. Most restaurants in the parks will hold your reservation for 10-20 minutes after your reservation time.
Have a Magical trip!
Denise says
Can I upgrade a 1 day ticket to the Armed Forces Salute?
Renee says
As long as it’s a regular ticket and not a comped ticket, it should be able to be upgraded to the Armed Forces Salute ticket. The service member or spouse must be the ones to upgrade the ticket and it should be done before entering the parks.
Ariel says
Once your Military park hopper is activated on the 1st day does the Military service member need to be with you each of the other days you decide to go?
Renee says
Hi Ariel,
No, they do not need to be with you after the first visit.
Tammy says
We are coming down the second week of January. Can I still buy military tickets and use them then? I wanted to go ahead and get them so we could schedule fast passes.
Renee says
Hi Tammy,
The current tickets available end on Dec. 19, 2019. Unfortunately, at this time Disney hasn’t released any information on for 2020. Check back late September or early October!
Vanessa says
Can Armed Forces Salute tickets be activated by member if they get a one day pass and family members get the Armed Forces Salute ticket? My brother only wants to go for one day.
Renee says
Hi Vanessa,
Yes, that would work! He only needs to be present on the first day to activate the tickets. But he will only be able to purchase 5 tickets because out of the 6 allowed 1 is supposed to be used for the service member or spouse.
Ginny LaPlaca says
Can I purchase military Disney World tickets twice in a year? I went this past April and we used our 5 day passes. I’d like to go again this November Since it is twice in one year I’m concerned that may not be allowed. Thanks so much.
Renee says
Hi there Ginny,
Service members or their spouse are only allowed to purchase 6 tickets a year. Depending on how many you purchased in April, you may be eligible to purchase more.
Ie: If you bought 4 in April you can get 2 more for your November trip. But if you purchased all 6 in April you cannot get any more until 2020.
Cindy says
We used 4 of 6 of the armed forces salute in July. I the spouse purchased them at our travel agency on post. We are planning on going for thanksgiving, and plan on purchasing the other two armed forces salute. My husbands friend (another SM) offered to purchase the other two tickets. Would they say anything about the other two ticket purchases from a different service member? Or would we even be able to activate them without his presence?
Renee says
Hey Cindy!
The tickets are attached to the service member/spouse who purchased them so they would have to be with you to activate the tickets, so unfortunately that wouldn’t work.
Personally, if you have any Disney children (9 and under) in your traveling party, I would buy them the regular slightly discounted tickets available on base (only saves a few dollars) and use the remaining Salute tickets for adults.
Have a magical holiday!
Renee
Traci says
Hi, if my father (retired Marine) purchases the pre-activated tickets from Shades of Green for our family, does that mean he does not need to go to the parks with us? He is on oxygen and would prefer to stay home
Renee says
Hi Traci,
Because the Shades of Green tickets are already activated – you are correct and your father should not be required to be with you when going to the parks. But it is always a good idea that he be close by in case they do ask for the service member’s id. If he has a spouse with a dependent id and they are with you, the spouse can verify the tickets.
Pat says
I bought our Disney Armed Forces Salute tickets at Shades of Green and had them shipped to us in NC. Are they already activated? I dont have to activate at Disney World?
Renee says
Hi Pat,
The Shades of Green tickets should already be activated and good to go without having to activate them. But do be prepared to show your military id when using the tickets for the first time just in case.
Courtney says
What if you’ve already been and bought 2 tickets and still have a few days left and want to buy tickets for some family that will be joining this second trip? Me and my husband have 2 days left on our passes and I will be going again in December. We have 7 people going since I will be buying the next set of tickets as I already have mine and my husband won’t be joining us. Can I only buy 4 or 5? Are the tickets somehow linked to his military ID somewhere or are they like any ticket but only can buy 6 at a time?
Renee says
Hi! You can only by 4 more for 2019. Those tickets can be used for anyone you choose.
Renee
Meg D says
Can we, the military member, purchase these for family members and send them without going? I wanted to buy them for Christmas gifts from Shades of Green, but I don’t want to go with them.
Renee says
Hi Meg,
So, technically the service member should be with them when using the tickets. But the Shades of Green tickets are pre-activated, which means they can be used without the service member going to the ticket counter to activate them. I, personally, wouldn’t feel comfortable sending them with the tickets without being close by. The Cast Members can ask for a military ID for verification and deny them entrance if they choose to.
Hope that helps.
Renee
Casey says
If my husband and I are both military can we each buy 6 tickets?
Renee says
Hey Casey!
Yes, since you both are military and as long as you both meet the other eligibility criteria you both should be able to buy up to 6 tickets each!
Renee
Jane says
If we were wanting to do a 9-day trip, can we purchase a 4-day and a 5-day ticket for 3 people? Do you know if we would be able to load both tickets into MDE, so that Fast Passes could be made for all 9 days?
Renee says
Hi Jane! Yes, you can purchase multiple tickets for each person, but are still limited to a total of 6 tickets per offer period.
You should be able to load both at the same time and book fastpasses as normal.
Emily says
Hi!
I am wondering something similar. I have been three times now with my fiance using Shades of Green tickets. They never ask for IDs and the passes worked fine. This year, I wanted him to purchase my friend and I a ticket to go but am now concerned that they won’t work cause he isn’t there? Do you think I will be stopped and asked for verification?
Renee says
Hey there Emily!
The tickets purchased from Shades of Green are already activated and should not require any additional activation.
We’ve purchased the tickets for family members without being there on the first day of use and no one has had an issue. That said, there is always a chance for the Cast Members to ask. I’d make sure he’s available by phone in case any issues come up and bring all documents received from Shades of Green.
Rose C. says
Hi Emily,
My family will be visiting WDW during Thanksgiving break this year. We’ll arrive on a Sunday and checkout Friday for our cruise. I purchased 4 day park hopper tickets to use that Monday thru Thursday. Can we activate our tickets that Sunday when we arrive? Or do we have to wait to activate when we’re actually going to a park? Also, if we can activate our tickets that Sunday, would Sunday be considered Day 1 of our 4 day tickets? Or would Day 1 be the 1st day we go to the parks?
Renee says
Hi Rose!
Yes, you can activate your tickets on Sunday. The first day of use will be the day you actually scan the tickets to enter the park!
Have a magical trip.

adesa Ohunwu says
Hello,
How much are individual tickets at Disney World for a 2 day trip with Military discount. I have tried to look up prices several times and can’t find it online.
Renee says
Hi Adesa!
Unfortunately, Disney World doesn’t offer a military discount for 2 day tickets directly. You can purchase slightly discounted tickets at your local base ticket office or through Shades of Green Resort.
For pricing check with your local base or Shades of Green
https://www.shadesofgreen.org/experiences/tours/tour-1
Note that prices vary from location and these are not deeply discounted and in most cases only save you taxes plus a couple of dollars.
Hope that helps!
WENDI K PHILLIPS says
We live in Ocala Fl and my dad is 100% disabled so he is eligible for the military discount.
We were going to buy the 6 day park hopper, but now he has decided to get the Silver Annual pass
My question is: Can we buy the 6 day and upgrade to the Silver? Also if we do ,can we purchase them online from Shades of Green?
We are planning a trip on Feb 14..
Renee says
Hey there Wendy!
Yes and yes, but it’s probably not worth the hassle. IMHO
The salute tickets can be upgraded but you only get the value you paid for them and if tickets are purchased tax free from Shades of Green, you’ll have to pay the tax along with the upgrade charge when converting to an annual pass at Disney Guest Relations. So there isn’t really any advantage to buying the Armed Forces Salute tickets and upgrading them to a silver annual pass.
Shades of Green does sell silver annual passes, so personally I’d check with them to save the tax!
Hope that isn’t too confusing!
Maureen Conley says
Just wanted to let you know that when addressing where tickets can be bought, that there are 27 Coast Guard Exchange locations that sell all the military discount tickets just like an ITT office.
Renee says
Thank you!
Bree says
I activated my tickets through shades of green online (they mailed me my activated tickets). Will I need to show my ID at the gates again to get in?
Renee says
You should not have to but it is always a good idea to bring your ID with you just in case.
Cate Butler says
I have two days left of my 2020 salute to service ticket. Can I use the remaining two days at Disneyland rather than Disney world where we used the first 4 days of the ticket?
Renee says
Hey there! Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the answer is no, you can’t use your Disney World tickets for Disneyland.
Each resort has their own ticketing system and they do not speak to each other so they are not interchangeable.
Renee
Lisa Kingham says
We have 5 day passes purchased through the military. We only used the ticket once in 2020 before the covid closure. We are not comfortable being in crowds and would like to get a refund on the remaining days. On the Disney app it says that we can get a refund but I have been unable to speak to anyone at the ticket office in Orlando. I have been on hold several times for an hour or more each time. Do you have any tips to help me get the refund?
Renee says
Hi Lisa,
You can try the base ticket office that you originally purchased the tickets through. Unfortunately, the only other option is calling Disney and sticking it out on hold. But be prepared for a refund to be denied, especially since you used the tickets, even though it was just one day.
Sorry I don’t have better news!
John Lucky says
I’m service connected veteran. I want to take my wife and three kids and 3 grand kids to shade of green whats the cheapest way to get room for all of us also tickets I know I’m only allowed 6 tickets Wondering what can do one grand child is 6 8 and 9
Renee says
Hi John!
As long as you meet the eligibility requirements, you can do have family suites that sleep up to 8. Personally, I’d play around with the numbers to see if it’s cheaper to do one suite or standard rooms.
For tickets, I’d use the 6 Armed Forces Salute tickets for the adults and 1 grandchild. Then purchase regular tickets for the other 2 kids. Shades of Green does offer a slight discount on those tickets.
Hope that helps!
Shaquita says
Hello and thank you for all the information you have provided! I have a question about the Armed Forces tickets. We booked our flights to go to Orlando this week, but will be visiting WDW in August. My mom who is a military spouse can get up to 6 tickets(5 excluding herself). We will arrive 2 days before she does, if she purchases pre activated tickets from SOG, will we be able to use before hand or would we have to wait? I saw some comments where ID was not asked for at gate. What has been your experience?
Renee says
Hi Shaquita,
SOG tickets are already activated, so technically your mom should not have to be there upon first use. I have purchased tickets in the past for my niece and she had no trouble using the ticket for the first time without me. My daughter was there with her dependent ID and I was available in case they needed me to head down there (we are local). I would suggest having a copy of her ID and/or have her available via video chat just in case you run into any issues!
Hope this helps.
Renee
Brooke says
Hello!
If my father (retired Army) purchases the pre-activated tickets from Shades of Green for a friends trip, will we be able to go without him at the gate? And would my dependent ID be valid considering I’m not the retiree/spouse?
Thanks!
Renee says
Hey Brooke!
You should be able to use the tickets without the military member or spouse but the Cast Members can always ask to see the military members/spouse ID. I suggest to always be prepared for that with a picture of the service members ID and have access to them via phone/video and of course, know your ticket(s) can always be deactivated if they decide the rules haven’t been met.
Hope that helps!
Tim says
Hi,
My Father-In-Law purchased four 6-day Mil Salute tickets (FIL,MIL, Wife & me) last year. They are now unable to go and the tickets expire in Sept. My wife and I are non-military, can we pay the difference of the Mil Salute tickets to regular park ticket price and still go?
Thanks!
Renee says
Hi Tim,
Honestly, I’m not sure. If they are already activated they may allow it but if they’re not I would expect them to require the military member to be there.
I would suggest calling, emailing or doing online chat and ask the Cast Members. Then if they say yes it can be done bring copies of the email or chat or have the names of whoever you talked to just in case the onsite guest relations Cast Member says no. Also it wouldn’t hurt to have your father in law on stand by via phone/video call in case they need to verify everything is legit.
Wish I could give you a more solid answer!
Renee
Cloe says
Is there a way to upgrade from a 4 day salufe ticket to a 5 day salute before arriving to disney? Plans for us may be changing and may need to add another park day but if we wait until we arrive there may not be park availabilty. Just wondering if Disney has changed this policy at all
Renee says
Hey!
Unfortunately, as far as I know Disney has not changed their policy on upgrading tickets. Your best bet is to upgrade as soon as possible after arriving on property, you can do this at any Guest Relations including the one in Disney Springs, and then trying for a park reservation. With the Armed Forces Salute tickets you can park hop, so I’d just snag whatever is available and if is not the park you wanted plan on hopping to that one at 2pm.
Thank you for your question! If I come across different information I’ll be sure to let you know.

Leigh says
My MIL purchased our tickets last time on base when we are taking her with us.
And she activated them when we arrived.
(We were given the paper stubs to link to our MDE account)
She is not going this trip, but my sister in laws are (both of their husbands are military as well)….
If my MIL purchases the tickets on base for us again before we leave, can my BIL activate them for us since they will be there at the same time as us?
Renee says
Hi Leigh,
The tickets purchased on base are attached to that military service member and they (or spouse) are the ones who have to activate them. Plus, your BIL can only activate 6 tickets as that is all they are authorized to purchase. Now, if your BILs are not using all 6 of their allotted tickets they could use the leftovers for your family (it can be a combo of both BIL’s extra tickets) OR your MIL/FIL could purchase tickets over the phone/email from Shades of Green. The SOG tickets are already activated and you shouldn’t need someone to activate them for you.
Hope that helps!

Hello my son in law is deployed at the present time and his wife (our daughter) is joining us on our trip the beginning of December. We feel bad because it’s his first deployment and they are still newlyweds. Can she as a Military wife purchase military WDW tickets? Thank you, Denise
Thomas Myers says
i just purchased tickets from shades of green. They apporved my application and i made the purchase. Now they are saying im not qualified and might have to pay a differnce at the park?
Beth says
We now live here & have passes. Can we purchase for family since we’re here to activate? Or can we only purchase 5 since the 6th would have to be for the service member & we don’t need it (or do we actually have to purchase the 6th one & not use or can we get by with giving away all 6 if we are actually with them but using a pass instead)? How do they know if the SM uses it?
Jessica says
If you purchase Military tickets on base, and plan to activate them upon arrival at the park, how do you make park reservations now that those are required due to Covid? TO make park reservations, you have to have a valid ticket? Will the military tickets have a code we can use to book park reservations? (We are staying off property.)
Rebecca says
If the Military Salute MYW park hopper tickets my husband purchased on base have been linked to My Disney Experience, does that mean they are all ready activated? Or do I still have to go to guest relations? (He won’t be on this trip.)
Renee says
Hi Rebecca,
They still need to be activated once on Disney property. We usually activate them on arrival day at Disney Springs, so we’re ready to go the next day.
But you can still make park reservations before activation!
Karen says
If we purchase the Park Hopper Plus 5 day option can all 5 options be used for golf as long as they are used on 5 different days?
Renee says
Yes, Karen, they can all be used for golf!
Jim M says
Renee, thank you for your help to all. I bought a 5-day Military discount ticket through the base MWR and will be starting off-site at an AirBnB. Am I correct in understanding the Military discount ticket Allie park early access as if I were staying at Shades of Green or a Disney Resort (or did I make that up wishing it were so)?
Renee says
Hi Jim,
Yes, staying at an on property Disney Resort or a handful of other qualifying hotels, including Shades of Green, gives guests access to 30 minute early entry to the parks. Another perk for staying at a Deluxe category hotel, like Shades of Green, is access to extended evening hours.
Julie says
My SIL bought military tickets for my husband and I, and then we purchased normal tickets for our 2 girls. She just found out she has covid and won’t be able to come. What can we do to get in without her military ID? Can we pay to like upgrade our ticket to a normal one?
Renee says
That’s a tough question! Being able to upgrade will more than likely depend on the Cast Member but if they allow it all you’ll have to do is pay the difference.
Frances Case says
If my son purchases 5 Disney World tickets through base or Shades Of Green, can he add a 6th ticket later through either purchase point? We have a 6th person who is uncertain she can come at this point.
Or, conversely, can we purchase all 6 at once and get a refund if one of them is never used?
Shades of Green activates them before selling so if it is possible to get a refund on unused ticket, would that not work if you get it through Shades of Green but would work if purchased on base?
Renee says
Hi Frances,
Yes, your son can purchase a 6th ticket at a later time, if needed.
Keep in mind that park reservations are required so you’ll want to make sure there are park reservations available for the 6th person before purchasing a ticket.
Karol says
I purchased 4 tickets on base in Huntsville, Alabama. My son, daughter in love, and granddaughter and I will be going to WDW next week. They live in NC and I live in Alabama. I am disabled and don’t know if I can do the whole week of running the parks with them. I will be with them the first day, to activate the tickets at Disney Springs. If I were to not feel good and not do the entire week with them, will they have a problem getting into the parks? I have a nerve disease and sometimes the weather can trigger flare-ups and I don’t want to ruin their time if I can’t make it to the park on any of the days that week.
Renee says
Hi Karol!
No, they should have no issues using the tickets without you once activated.
I would recommend, if you’re feeling up to it, going to the park with them on the first day, just in case they run into an issue with the tickets. Ie one wasn’t activated properly.
Have a wonderful trip!
Dana says
Hi, we live in Nevada and planning a trip to WDW Florida. If we purchase the the 6 day hopper pass from base for Walt Disney World but end up not going to Florida, could we use them at Disneyland in California (even though they are for WDW)?
Renee says
Hi!
I’m sorry to say that unfortunately, the Disney World tickets can’t be used at Disneyland.
Renee
cathy says
We brought 4 day pass hopper military salute. I have family and friends coming into town on different days. Can we activate the tickets for those who are with us on Tuesday and then be present with the other two people on Wednesday to activate their tickets when they show up? We are there for a week. My Husband and I both have 6 tickets since we are both retired military.
Renee says
Yes, as long as you are there you can activate the tickets. You can always ask if they’ll activate all of them at once, so you could just hand the 2nd group their tickets without having to stand in line again the following day. Some Cast Members will do it and some won’t but in never hurts to ask!
