Disney has always been linked with innovation and forward thinking developments. However, it doesn’t always come from Imagineers. While they remain the dreamers and doers, some of us continue to dream of other new possibilities. Some are more practical than others, and some hit pretty close to the mark. Here are the top Disney World rumors circulating about.

Disney World Rumor Round Up
Speculating what Disney Imagineers will cook up next is a favorite past time for Disney fans. Rumors of new countries coming to Epcot or new attractions taking over are always making the rounds.
With Universal Orlando focusing on it’s fourth park and teaming up with Nintendo, the Orlando theme park community has new turned into a “keeping up with the Joneses” and it’s Disney’s turn to answer the call.

Monsters Inc.
Rumors about Monsters Inc. Disney attractions have been circulating since Monsters Inc. premiered in 2001. Sure there are a couple of representations of the popular Pixar production worldwide, but we still never got that door chase rollercoaster we wanted. The new rumor is that Disney’s Hollywood Studios will expand Pixar Place to the Animation Courtyard. The expansion would be to make way for a Monsters Inc Land. This might include a relocation of the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor to the current Star Wars Launch Bay, and a re-theming of the Rockin’ Rollercoaster. It also might mean a new Sushi restaurant. If this happens, I hope they relocate One Man’s Dream to where the Laugh Floor is today.
Pandora Expansion
The new Pandora rumor is that a new attraction and table service restaurant will be coming to Pandora. This rumor stems from Disney apparently underestimating the allure of the world of Avatar. As December release dates for four new Avatar films have been announced, it’s likely that Disney will double down on it’s investment. Especially, when the first one is scheduled to hit theaters just before Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration
Indiana Jones Themed area
Another Animal Kingdom Rumor is that DInoland USA will soon be no more. Speculators suggest that Indiana Jones will be taking over the Land. It’s not surprising that there are rumors considering how divisive Dinoland USA is, either garnering high praise for innovation, or disgust. While there are connections between the Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland and Dinosaur in Animal Kingdom, it is unlikely that the park will remove it’s American presence, especially with the popularity of Donald’s Dino Bash.

Brazil in Epcot
Imagineers have taking a larger scale interest in Epcot, a park that for many surpasses even the Magic Kingdom as their favorite. While the current changes involve replacing or expanding existing attractions, there has long been anticipation for new pavilions in the World Showcase. Disney’s landscaping hides it well, but there is currently a lot of vacant real estate around the World Showcase Lagoon. Disney always planned to add more pavilions, but they have put these plans on hold since day one. At one time Venezuela was the front runner for a new pavilion, with Spain another possibility. Now Brazil has taken center stage as the next most likely candidate. There are still no confirmations, but Epcot turns 40 in 2022, so Disney is bound to cook up something.
Wreck -it -Ralph Attraction
Stitch’s Great Escape, was supposed to be a kid friendly alternative to the attraction’s predecessor Alien Encounter. It is unfortunately the most hated attraction in Disney World. Disney has slowly phased out Stitch and it’s currently closed. It’s only a matter of time before Disney removes it. The leading candidate to replace the ride is Wreck-It-Ralph. There are no particulars as to the attractions specific theming, or type of ride, though if it is in Tomorrowland it will probably feature a Hero’s Duty motif, Tron, or something we haven’t seen yet. Rumor has it that the ride will also feature VR technology. This is most likely not the case, given that it is a Disney attraction. However, the video game theming may open the door to some type of VR experience.
Disney rumors come and go, but we never know what is true until Disney makes the announcement. With all of these rumors floating around the Disney Parks panel at the 2019 D23 Expo the place to be!
