Disney on Ice Road Trip Adventures is making its way across the country with pitstops in a town near you! Here are 6 tips to help make your Disney on Ice exploration the best day ever.
This post is written in partnership with Feld Entertainment. I was given (4) free tickets in exchange for my review. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
6 Disney on Ice tips
We are lucky to live close to Disney World, but that hasn’t always been the case. In the past, we’d use Disney on Ice events to get a little bit of Disney magic in our home town. Now, it’s become a yearly tradition that even my angsty tween looks forward to.
And Disney on Ice Road Trip Adventures couldn’t have been a better theme for our family. Road trips have been a way of life for our military family. Moving cross country twice along with other long-distance moves, we’ve learned to love the adventures.
1. Buy the best tickets you can afford
Don’t think just because you can’t afford the top-tiered tickets means it’s not worth it. The ice rink is large and the cast uses the whole rink. With that in mind, almost all seats in the venue have a good view of the ice rink.
So buy those tickets! You won’t be disappointed.
2. Make sure to dress warmly
I know it’s hard to think about dressing in jeans and a sweater, especially if you live in a tropical climate (Ah Florida), but trust me it’s cold in the venue.
3. Know what you can and can not bring into the venue
Always check beforehand to see what you can and can’t bring in. Every event is different and each one makes their own rules on what they allow in the venue.
You’d hate to have to drag the kids back to the car to drop off your camera or selfie stick if they aren’t allowed in.
4. Buy some “souvenirs” before the event
Let’s be honest – your kids are going to be bugging for souvenirs. And they can be spendy. So, I suggest bringing a few glow toys from the Dollar Tree with you. Or pick up a Disney stuffy and surprise them with it in the car.
We didn’t do this and even at 12 years old, my son was asking for something from the souvenir stand. And I caved. hard. We walked away spending over $80 because they got me with the Pua and Hei Hei stuffed animals. So, don’t be me – unless, you’re good with it.
5. Plan parking ahead of time
I have massive anxiety when it comes to driving. And trying to find parking the day of the event without set directions will set my anxiety off.
So I always research and double-check parking before heading out. Plus, you want to be prepared if they only take cash.
6. Arrive early
Arriving early lets you find your seat, take a bathroom break and get settled before the show begins. This is always a bonus for our family.
Besides, it gives you time to locate parking without fear of missing any part of the show!

My review of Disney on Ice Road Trip Adventures
Disney on Ice continues to knock it out of the park with Road Trip Adventures. Many families can relate to the theme and that makes the funny antics along the “road” that much more funny. Kids and parents alike were laughing throughout the show. And you know the parents were thinking “I’ve been there”. Because I know I was!
Disney on Ice Road Trip Adventures has scenes from some of Disney’s newest films including the live-action Aladdin, The Lion King and Mary Poppins Returns. You’ll help Woody and Buzz find their missing friend and watch Moana set out on her grand adventure.
We were laughing, singing and even shed a few tears throughout the show. And none of us were ready for it to be over.
