Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex offers so much more than just movies. Shopping, dining and even live shows are just a small portion of what’s available – It’s no wonder it’s called the entertainment complex!

Disclosure: I was the guest of Myrah at Couponmamacita on the #BloggingBranson trip. All opinions are my own.
Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex – More than Movies
I was intrigued when I saw IMAX on our itinerary. I can go to an IMAX theater just about anywhere, so why were they adding it to our travels? Let me tell you – it wasn’t about the movies! Well, it was about one special movie, but there was so much more to experience.
Not your average movie theater
This isn’t your every day run of the mill movie theater. Branson’s IMAX screen is the largest in the mid-west and uses dual 4K laser projection systems that are equipped with an optical engine and has a 12 channel sounds technology. Ok, really I have no clue what that means, but I do know that it has the best picture I’ve ever seen. And add in the sound and it’s down right incredible.
To get the full viewing experience and to learn more about the Ozark history we got to see the Branson’s IMAX exclusive film “Ozarks: Legacy and Legends.” It’s a colorful history and the film was very entertaining.
Shopping
There are quite a few cute little shops through out the complex that offer fun and unique items. At Legacy and Legends you’ll find you’re own copy of “Ozarks: Legacy and Legends” to take home along with other film memorabilia. At The Shadow Box you’ll discover the perfect gift for just about everyone on your list!

Dining
We dined at McFarlain’s Family Restaurant which fit perfectly into our history lesson from the film. The food takes you back to granny’s kitchen. You can read more about our dining experience HERE.
Live Shows
What’s Branson known for? That’s right the abundance of live shows! From John Denver tributes to The SOBs, that’s Son’s of Britches ya know, there is a show for everyone at the Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex.
Unfortunately, our time was limited so we didn’t get to check on out, but I know it’s on my list for next time!
The man behind the movie magic – Trent H
Circling back to the theater, we met Trent H. who puts in the hours getting each movie ready to go. While, it may not be a tedious as it once was there’s still lots that goes on behind the scenes. He even put in 12 hours cutting “The Force Awakens” so that it was all on one reel. Here he is telling us about the adventure.
We had a great time visiting Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex. While, I wish we’d had more time, it just gives me a reason to visit again! For more information including tickets to the movies or live shows click HERE to go to bransonimax.com.

I enjoy watching Imax movies, but this complex looks like it has a ton more things to do. I’d love to visit.
I’m all on board for a great movie at the IMAX but what really pushed me over the edge was the shopping and the food! The Fried Green Tomatoes look divine! #BloggingBranson
