Branson, Missouri has over 100 shows that take place in 50 theaters with a total of over 64,000 seats! That is more theaters seats than Broadway and Vegas combined and you’ve probably never thought about visiting Branson. Well, I’ve got 4 reasons you need to experience a Branson Christmas at least once.

4 Reasons You Need to Experience a Branson Christmas Show
As a Blogging Branson Ambassador, I was invited to experience an Ozark Mountain Christmas as part of a media trip. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
Each time I visit Branson, I’m blown away by the talent that can be discovered there. Everyone always thinks Hollywood, New York and Vegas when they think of singers, actors and incredible performances. You rarely hear of Branson, Missouri. But let me tell you, if you haven’t been you’re missing out on some of the best shows in the country.
From choreography, skit ideas, lighting and which songs to sing most of the performances are family ventures. The theaters are owned and run by those you see on stage! And that all adds to the small town, Christmas feeling which makes it a fantastic holiday destination.
Hear Christmas Classics with Some New Twists – The Andy Williams Ozark Mountain Christmas Show at the Andy Williams Performing Arts Center
At The Andy Williams Ozark Mountain Christmas Show, you’ll be dazzled by host, Jimmy Osmond and The Lennon Sisters as they bring the traditional Christmas songs to life.
With guest appearances by The Lennon Granddaughters, Britain’s Got Talent crooner, Charlie Green and America’s Got Talent singing siblings, AYO – Voices of Glory you’ll be taken on a musical sleigh ride as you journey through Christmases old and new. You won’t believe your eyes as you watch with fascination at the championship ice skating by the Ice Angels.
And don’t think the younger crowd won’t appreciate the show, we had a wide range of ages in our group and there was something for everyone. Besides that Charlie Green is adorable – all the tween and teen girls will be squealing.
Billed as the most popular Christmas show, The Andy Williams Ozark Mountain Christmas Show has been bringing joy to Branson for 26 years. This holiday spectacular runs on select nights November 1st -December 15, 2018, at the Andy Williams Moon River Theater ( 1 Andy Williams Blvd, Branson, Missouri). For tickets call (417) 334-4500 or online at AndyWilliamsPac.com.
Have a Down Home Country Christmas – Branson’s Famous Baldknobbers
The variety show that started it all brings a good ole fashion hoedown with a dash of Christmas spirit to the stage! With Brandon Mabe now at the helm, the Mabe family has kept the Baldknobbers legacy alive in Branson for 58 years.
You will be thrilled to know they won’t miss out on the traditional show just because it’s Christmas in Branson. The Mabe’s along with Layne Victoria and Shane VanCamp were stunning with their renditions of some country favorites.
The Christmas part of the show will have you toe tapping and clapping along with the upbeat tempo of holiday classics. My favorite is when the band takes the stage to showcase their incredible talents! And when it’s time to slow it down to honor the true reason for Christmas, you’ll have goosebumps when listening to Megan Mabe sing “Oh Holy Night”.
But don’t you worry – Droopy Drawers and his buddy, Hargus will be there in all their shining glory. And they’re sure to be causing all sorts of trouble!
Christmas from Beginning to End – The Hughes Brothers Christmas Show
Whether it be the impressive sight as the whole family steps out on stage or their seemingly never-ending talents, the Hughes Brothers Christmas Show is unlike any others. This show isn’t just about singing and dancing. You’ll see instrumental acts, hear some jokes and maybe even some circus-like hand walking! The four Hughes Brothers and their wives have outdone themselves with putting together this year’s Christmas show. And compared to the regular season show, the Hughes kids are showcased even more. Which I L-O-V-E and I know the young ones in the audience think it’s pretty cool too.
A Hootin and Hollerin Holiday Fun – Clay Cooper Christmas Express
How many times can you say – Clay Cooper has the “IT” factor? You can see the way the audience loves him and he returns that affection with his interaction with the masses. But don’t think this show is just about Clay. The Clay Cooper show has 24 entertainers including comedian, Matt Gumm, the male trio, Third Power, female vocalist, Kari Garrison, Clay’s gorgeous wife, Tina and their two sons, Colten and Caden. GET TO THE THEATER EARLY! You can’t miss the pre-show with Matt Gumm. He’s hilarious and when you add in live audience participation you never know what you’re going to get. But I can promise you’ll be laughing so hard your stomach hurts. That is a good thing, I swear! Before the holiday invasion, you’ll get to see highlights of the regular season Clay Cooper Country Express show. I find this a massive bonus because no one should miss the singing impersonations that I love so much.
