We’re seasoned Disney World visitors and have probably over 20 trips under our belts. And I will admit buying souvenirs sometimes bust our budget. My husband is the worst. He’s the shopper of the family. So, to be the ying to his yang, I’ve come up with free or cheap souvenirs that satisfy his need to “shop”, the kids need to get stuff and my need to save the budget.
FREE Disney Souvenirs
Celebration pins – Birthday, Happily Ever After, I’m Celebrating and many more pins are available at Disney resort hotels and in the parks.
Character autographs – Character meet & greets are throughout the parks. Check the times guide to find out where your favorite Disney character will be greeting Guests. Character meals are also a great way to get pictures and autographs with no wait.
Towel Animals – Have you ever been pixie dusted with a towel animal in your Disney World Resort room? Those are a gift for you to take home from Mousekeeping.
Kidcot Fun Stop – Traveling has never been more fun! Kids can stop at Kitcot station at any country located in World Showcase and pick up the new Ziplock activity. As they visit the Kidcot stations throughout World Showcase make sure to have them stamped to mark your visit to each country.
Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cards – These popular collector/trading cards are handed out when you sign up for the game at the Firehouse on Mainstreet, USA. Special cards are given out during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party.
Transportation cards – Learn all about transportation with these fun cards by checking with your transportation driver to see if they have any. Don’t be surprised if they don’t.
Wild About Safety Cards – Featuring Timon and Pumba are handed out by Cast Members randomly.
Park Maps – Grab a couple to take home with you to remember your trip! My kids loved to collect the ones from other countries.
Travel Size Toiletries from the Resorts – While some Resorts no longer place the small sized toiletries in the rooms, there are a few that continue to offer them to Guests including the Deluxe Resorts.
Magic Bands – Everyone staying at at Disney Resort gets a free Magic Band. We have tons of them and have used them for fun displays around the house. Including a Mickey head wreath.
UNDER $5 Disney Souvenirs
Pressed Pennies –There are hundreds of different pressed pennies located throughout Disney World. For pennies it costs $0.51 (2 quarters and 1 penny). Pressed quarters are also available for $1.25. This is a family favorite. We used the mini M&M containers to hold our quarters and pennies, so we are never without!
Reusable Mickey head straws – Kids love straws and Mickey head straws are even better! You can get a Mickey head straw at quick service locations around Disney for a minimal cost.
UNDER $15 Disney Souvenirs
Souvenir cups with light up character clips or glow cubes – The fun cups can be found at most tableservice restaurants. The character clips can change but we’ve gotten Tinkerbell, Ariel, Pirates of the Caribbean and Buzz Lightyear.
Park specific to-go mugs – My favorite souvenir! At each of the 4 parks you can find unique to-go mugs for just around $7. I use mine each work day for my coffee. It’s a great way to bring Disney home!
Popcorn buckets – Not just for popcorn! These trendy bucket have gained popularity in the past few years.
Magnets – Brighten up your fridge with some Disney characters! Magnets vary in price, but are inexpensive.
Trading pins – Popular with many are the Disney trading pins and can be traded with most Cast Members.
Epcot Passport to fun – Get your passport stamped around the World Showcase in Epcot.
Silhouettes – A great way to keep the memories going once you get home. There are various places on property to get your silhouettes done.
Did your favorite souvenirs make the list? If not, tell me what it is in the comments!
